Participants performed well on this task (Table 2). Whereas a false alarm rate of about 10% to novels was observed in both groups, performance to targets (button press) and nontargets (correct reject) was almost perfect, yielding high sensitivity values. The mean response latency for correct button presses to targets was about 30 ms slower in CHR patients compared to healthy controls. However, there were no significant group differences in any of these performance measures (all F[1,38] ≤ 2.54, all p ≥ .12).
