As shown in Fig. 3a, 53 of the detected SNPs showed significant differences in ASE (FDR < 0.05) in SH-SY5Y cells and 130 in SK-N-BE(2) cells. Thirty of these SNPs showed significant ASE in both cell lines, with a consistent direction of allele imbalance in 25 SNPs: 2 from BLA, 5 from CE, 6 from NAC, and 12 from SFC (Fig. 3a). The alternative allele frequencies and sequencing depths of four representative SNPs (one from each region) are shown in Fig. 3b. Significant variants in all brain regions are shown in Supplementary Fig. 3.
