Further reflection on the these topics suggest that a multiscale approach, that is, with the aggregation process taking place within each of the four phenotypic classes, would provide useful additional information. Correspondingly, larger studies with greater numbers of phenotypic and genotypic classes could have several different levels of scaling. Exactly how this would be implemented is still to be determined.
