Figure 4 shows that in the Finnish Caucasians and Plains American Indians there is a degree of LD extending from GABRA2 block 2 to downstream of GABRG1. For example, D′ between rs1504501 (in the intergenic region distal to GABRG1) and GABRA2 block 2 SNPs was 0.6 in the Finns and 0.4 in the Plains Indians.
