The next comparison, TxN versus the combined NAC group (also a 2 × 2 design with Group and Gender as fixed effects) did show multivariate effects of group (Wilkes λ4,149 = 6.048, p < 0.0001; TxN > NAC) and gender (Wilkes λ4,149 = 3.886, p = 0.005; men > women), but no significant group by gender interaction (Wilkes λ4,149 = 0.727, p = 0.575). TxN compared to NAC had higher scores on Disinhibition (group accounting for 12.6% of the variance, p < 0.0001), Thrill and Adventure Seeking (group accounting for 8.1% of the variance, p < 0.001), and Experience Seeking (group accounting for 3.1% of the variance, p < 0.05), but not Boredom Susceptibility (group accounting for 1.2% of the variance, p = 0.12).
