In contrast, Oertel et al. (2009) showed that in human carriers of the G118 allele, Kd and Bmax. values of [3H]DAMGO binding to the MOPR were similar to those in homozygous A118 carriers in the secondary somatosensory area and ventral posterior part of the lateral thalamus. It is noteworthy that most of the human G118 subjects are heterozygotes.
