directly influenced by circulating TG. Furthermore, it validates the assertion that a high-fat meal, by raising TG, leads to an increase in ethanol intake which in turn increases the intake of a fat-rich diet, thereby driving a vicious cycle. In a society with such a high proportion of fat in its diet (Prevention, 2004), the results of this experiment may have important implications for understanding mechanisms underlying the consumption of ethanol. They may also provide insight into making dietary recommendations for individuals who over-consume ethanol.
