the top predictors of memory problems. These findings will require confirmation in future studies to: (i) validate these multi-domain features for use in the early identification of individuals who may develop alcohol-induced memory problems, especially chronic and/or heavy drinkers; and (ii) use EEG-source connectivity measures to further identify/validate the specific targets of brain networks underlying AUD-related outcomes in general and memory deficits in particular, in order to propose neuromodulation-based treatments (e.g., transcranial magnetic stimulation) as guided by the neural signatures related to dysregulated brain networks in the affected individuals. However, the study has many limitations, and the results are only preliminary, warranting large-scale future studies that can confirm these findings by adopting better experimental designs using predictive modeling.
