For instance, when treatment is delayed and occurs at a separate location, only 10% or fewer of patients enter it29, while as many as a third of patients will enter treatment if it is readily accessible30. Treatment entry may also be enhanced by offers to help that are repeated over time31; about a quarter of smokers change their intention to quit over just 30 days31.
