In one of the first major applications of Genomic SEM, CDG2 modeled eight disorders to identify three correlated genomic factors defined primarily by compulsive disorders (anorexia nervosa, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and Tourette syndrome [TS]), mood and psychotic disorders (MDD, BIP, and SCZ) and early-onset neurodevelopmental disorders (ASD, ADHD, TS; Lee et al., 2019). A fourth, internalizing disorders factor has since been identified using Genomic SEM, reflecting the inclusion of post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, and alcohol use disorder (Grotzinger et al., 2020).
