washout of ethanol, γ power recovered partially or fully (Figure 1C). On average, ethanol suppressed γ power by 19.4 ± 5.3% (P < 0.05, n = 8) at 25 mM, by 32.6 ± 4.6% (P < 0.01, n = 8) at 50 mM and by 52.9 ± 8.5% (P < 0.001, n = 10) at 100 mM. Ethanol had no effect on peak frequency (Figure 1E).
