It is interesting to find centrally located intramodular hub genes in the body weight related modules since their expression profile represents that of the entire module [11]. To find intramodular hub genes, one can use the module membership measure K, Equation 6. Figure 4E shows a scatterplot between the body weight based gene significance measure GSi, Equation 2 and module membership in the brown module.
