It also suggests that part of the genetic influence on the development of AUDs is not specific to alcohol use disorders and likely shared by a number of externalizing behavior problems including other substance use disorders (Kendler, Prescott, Myers, & Neale, 2003; Krueger et al., 2002; Krueger et al., 2005).
