The rate of death due to alcohol-induced causes overall increased from 2000 to 2016 at an AAPC of 1.4% (95% CI, 1.0%-1.8%) among men and 3.1% (95% CI, 2.6%-3.6%) among women. However, joinpoint analysis identified an accelerated increase in the most recent years; among men, the APC for 2012 to 2016 was 4.2% (95% CI, 3.1%-5.3%), while among women the APC from 2013 to 2016 was 7.1% (95% CI, 5.1%-9.1%) (Table).
