those students who were in the 9th or 10th grade and who were Caucasian, African American, or Hispanic/Latino. This resulted in a final sample size of 927 students, of whom the majority were female (56 %, n = 519), 36.2 % were Hispanic/Latino, 32.5 % were Caucasian, and 31.3 % were African American. Most participants were between the ages of 14 and 16 (96.8 %) and in the 9th grade (75.4 %). As detailed elsewhere (Temple, Shorey, Fite, Stuart, & Le, 2013; Temple, Shorey, Tortolero, Wolfe, & Stuart, 2013) and below, this sample is representative of the larger student body from which they were recruited.
