Compared to the proposed permutation procedure, strategies that would have taken the top 10 PCs or only the significant PCs (P-value <0.05 based on the Tracy-Widom test) would have changed the selection of the follow-up SNPs by an average of 6.7% or by an average of 4.6% among the four considered studies (Table 6).
