For the P3 component, a main effect of reward was observed (F(1,21)=23.65, p<0.001, see figure 4A), with a larger amplitude for targets in reward trials compared to no-reward trials. Additionally, the P3 amplitude was larger for low-difficulty targets than for high-difficulty targets, reflected statistically by a main effect of task difficulty (F(1,21)=32.86, p<0.001). No significant interaction of reward and task difficulty was observed for the P3 (F(1,21)=2.36, p=0.14).
