The Youth Self-Report (YSR) is a widely used measure with strong psychometric properties. Sample items include: “I feel lonely,” “I cry a lot,” (Internalizing) and “I destroy my own things,” “I disobey my parents” (Externalizing). Internal consistency was high for the Internalizing (α = .89) and Externalizing (α = .86) problem scores used in this study.
