We have added a SNP track to the hg18 human browser for dbSNP (30) build 130. The track contains close to 19 million SNP annotations, and includes the first set of SNP calls from the 1000 Genomes Project (31). About 5.6 million reference SNPs in build 130 include some evidence submitted by 1000 Genomes; of those SNPs, nearly 1 million identifiers are newly added since dbSNP build 129. We have also added the option to display each SNP’s predicted functional role (such as coding-non-synonymous, coding-synonymous, intron, splice site, etc.) relative to different gene sets on the SNP details pages (Figure 2).
