Alternatively, if there are an adequate number of endpoints to study each HPV type separately, we can calculate type-specific hazard ratios using the following WLW model: (1.9)λk(tik)=λ0k(tik)eβkZi(tik)+γWi(tik) where exp(βk) is the hazard ratio for incident detection of HPV type k for subjects in a certain CD4+ / HIV RNA stratum relative to HIV-negatives.
