Participants were asked about the home where they live “all or most of the time” and were instructed to “check all the people who live there” from a list of family members including mother, father, stepmother or father’s girlfriend, stepfather or mother’s boyfriend, grandmother, grandfather, living in a foster care home and others. Because of the small proportion of single parent and other families, we constructed a two-category variable (two parents vs. single parent and other)used in all logistic regression analyses.
