These samples were analyzed for ethanol content by means of a head-space gas-chromatograph method (Hewlett Packard 5890 series II, Wilmington, DE). BELs and BrELs values were expressed as milligrams of ethanol per deciliter of body fluid (mg/dl = mg %).
