For instance, Hanakawa et al. demonstrated that this region is involved in mental operations that did not require overt movement.37 Consequently, it is possible that some cognitive tasks that were not included in the present study—for instance, mental imagery,38 may also be affected. Future studies in FHP individuals should include a range of visuomotor tasks that may help to better isolate the specific task deficits that may arise from altered connectivity within this network.
