Sixteen of the 103 SNPs tested for association with OPRM1 expression in the BrainCloud cohort were nominated as cis-eQTL SNPs (Figure 1 and Table 1): 9 SNPs overall, 2 SNPs when analyzing only European Americans, and 5 SNPs when analyzing only African Americans. Three of the cis-eQTL SNPs were significantly associated with OPRM1 expression at P<0.00125, based on an overall α=0.05 corrected for 40 independent tests among the 103 OPRM1 SNPs (35, 36); the other 13 SNPs were nominally associated at P<0.05.
