We performed in silico replication of the nine interesting SNPs identified in our GWAS using the FHS sample. In the total sample and in the female subgroup of the sample, no significant results were achieved. However, in the male subgroup of the sample, seven of the SNPs achieved significant (p<0.05) and two achieved marginally significant p values (p<0.10) for association with smoking status.
