Whole-brain blood oxygen level-dependent (BOLD) functional images were acquired on a 3.0 Tesla GE Signa scanner (Milwaukee, WI) using T2*-weighted single-shot combined spiral in/out sequences (Glover and Law, 2001), parameters: repetition time = 2000 ms, echo time = 30 ms, flip angle = 90°; field-of-view = 200 mm; matrix size = 64×64; slice thickness = 4 mm, 29 slices. High-resolution anatomical T1 scans were obtained for spatial normalization. Motion was minimized with foam pads and emphasis on importance of keeping still.
