the 162 056 SNPs that were in common between all study cohorts showed a similar pattern as the analyses based on all the SNPs, suggesting that different estimates between study cohorts are not a result of different SNP arrays that were used for genotyping in the different study cohorts. Exclusion of any of the study cohorts provided no evidence that one of them affected the results disproportionately. We also estimated the variance explained by the X chromosome and did not find any significant result for either neuroticism or extraversion.
