Text

RXR is a nuclear receptor expressed in almost every cellular type and tissue. Three isoforms of RXR have been found in human, named RXRα, β, and γ, being the α-isoform the most abundant in the liver [95]. Unique among the other nuclear receptors, RXRα play a major modulatory role across multiple cellular pathways forming mandatory heterodimers with other nuclear receptors.
