The evaluation of whether the effects of predictors on drinking onset were equivalent across all time points for each of the covariates (i.e. FH, conduct problems, prior drug use, etc.) revealed that no covariate resulted in a significantly better model fit when allowed to vary across time (analyses not shown). Therefore, the effect of each predictor was estimated to be constant, or proportional, across time.
