The Working Group used the ACMG policy statement entitled “Points to Consider in the Clinical Application of Genomic Sequencing”15 as a starting point for its deliberations. That document includes a definition of clinical sequencing, describes the indications for such testing, and provides guidance on pre-test considerations, results reporting, genetic screening issues, and post-test considerations. Those issues were not revisited by this Working Group except to the extent that such considerations may be specifically affected by incidental findings.
