impairment of performance on any of the frontal lobe tests administered. Disorganization dimension was positively correlated with the time taken for the Trail Making B test, indicating impairment in inhibition of an inappropriate response, which in turn denotes orbitofrontal dysfunction. Psychomotor poverty dimension was found to be inversely correlated with performance on the delayed response learning and verbal fluency tests, indicating impairment in working memory and word generation, implicating DLPFC dysfunction. These findings point toward a differential pattern of frontal lobe involvement across the three psychopathological dimensions in neuroleptic-naïve schizophrenia patients with recent-onset illness.
