alcoholism, are elevated over normal population levels (Sher et al., 1991; Cuijpers et al., 1999). This was also observed in the current study where more HR subjects had marijuana dependence compared to LR subjects. Marijuana dependence could not be included as a covariate in the statistical analysis as the data was a categorical variable. Therefore, we plotted scatterplots using the amplitude as the dependent variable and the marijuana dependence and non-marihuana dependence as the independent variable. We found that marijuana dependent subjects were randomly distributed across the non-dependent subjects.
