no change in α GC (t = 0.032, p = 0.974), suggesting that in the absence of visual stimulation, simple affective effects would not result in α connectivity change. Nonetheless, we cannot fully exclude the combined effects of emotion and visual stimulation. That is, the emotional content of visual stimuli may influence α GC differently among the three groups. Future studies are warranted to isolate the simple effects of visual stimulation by including neutral images alone.
