Although this study did not report the contrast of no-go with go trials, which would test for specific signals in behavioral inhibition, the authors did report a significant positive correlation between anterior cingulate activity and correct inhibitions on the no-go trial, supporting a role for this brain region in action restraint (Hester and Garavan, 2004).
