To test for haplotypic association between the markers and AUDIT score, a generalised linear model for the quantitative trait 'AUDIT score' was run in Qtphase manufacturers. Qtphase is part of the UNPHASED [20] suite of programs for association analysis of multilocus haplotypes (an expectation-maximisation [E-M] algorithm is used to deal with uncertain haplotypes) from unphased genotype data [21]. All chi-square statistics and p-values are presented without correction for multiple testing.
