Feeder- and serum-free hESC (H9 line; WiCell) and hiPSC (A1ATR/R line; Rashid et al., 2010) culture and differentiation were as previously described (Vallier, 2011). Details of media compositions and protocols are provided in the supplementary Materials and Methods.
