Taken together, these findings highlight the need for further research on the optimal conceptualization and assessment of the construct of subjective responses to alcohol. Such research is critical in order to advance the field by increasing consistency in the findings of alcohol administration studies, whether they focus on biobehavioral factors or underlying genetic risk for alcohol use disorders.
