There were no significant correlations within LTAA or TxN of any alcohol use variable with total SSS, CPI Socialization Score or MMPI Pd Score. In both groups, SSS was negatively correlated with the CPI Socialization Scale (r=−0.332, p=0.002 in TxN; r=−0.364, p=0.008 in LTAA), but was not correlated with the MMPI Pd Scale (r’s < 0.26, p’s > 0.12). Within TxN and LTAA, CPI Socialization Score and MMPI Pd Score were negatively correlated after controlling for the SSS (r = −0.400, p = 0.004 for LTAA; r =−0.606, p < 0.0001 for TxN).
