Text

PAC estimates from AUD and unaffected participants were compared at each phase-amplitude frequency pair (FP, FA) represented in the comodulogram using Mann-Whitney U test (two-tailed, α = 0.05). Test results were written to a set of matrices structured with same dimensions as the comodulograms. Resulting p-values from the test at (FP, FA) were stored in the comodulogram significance matrix (S-matrix) at the corresponding position S(FP, FA). Similarly, the differences between group PAC medians at (FP, FA), with unaffected group subtracted from the AUD group, were stored at D(FP, FA) in comodulogram difference matrix (D-matrix). Comodulogram median matrices U and A for unaffected and AUD groups, respectively, were similarly generated with median PAC at (FP, FA) from unaffected group comodulograms stored at U(FP, FA), as was done for AUD group median stored at A(FP, FA). Men and women were analyzed separately.
