Data for this study came from Waves 1 and 2 of NESARC (N=34 653). The Wave 1 (2001–2002) NESARC target population was the civilian noninstitutionalized population residing in households and group quarters, aged ≥18 years. Blacks, Hispanics, and ages 18–24 years were oversampled, with data adjusted for oversampling, household- and person-level non-response.
