SNP-based heritability (h2SNP) estimated by LDSC was 0.053 (s.e. = 0.002, P = 6.8 × 10−156). Whereas previous reports suggested sex-specific differences in PTSD11, no significant differences were found (P = 0.13), and rg between male and female subsets was high (rg = 0.98, s.e. = 0.05, P = 1.2 × 10−98; Supplementary Table 5). MiXeR estimated 10,863 (s.e. = 377) influential variants and a discoverability of 7.4 × 10−6 (s.e. = 2.2 × 10−7) (Supplementary Table 3), indicating a genetic architecture comparable to other psychiatric disorders42.
