specifically, scores on the BDI-II were positively correlated with right fronto-central, right fronto-temporal, and right fronto-parietal theta coherence values (P-values < 0.010) while scores on the BIS-11 were positively correlated with right fronto-parietal and right centro-parietal theta coherence values (P-values < 0.010). Taken together, these findings indicate that AUD patients showed increased theta coherence and that this feature may be more sensitive to psychological comorbidities in AUD patients than in IGD patients. There were no significant pure addictive effects of AUD that could distinguish it from other populations independently of the effects of the psychological variables.
