In order to examine whether adipose suppression changes were fat pad selective, MRI analyses, examining coronal and sagittal reformatted images through the mouse midline, were completed on representative mice at 11 weeks post-weaning. We selected Cyp1b1-ko mice exhibiting typical adipose suppression. The fat-only MRI images demonstrated the general suppression of adipose tissue volume in all fat pads within the Cyp1b1-ko mice exposed to the HFD (Figure 2A). Likewise, quantification of the average number of sub-dermal adipose layers showed that Cyp1b1 deletion suppressed diet-mediated adipose deposition (Figure 2B).
