In HS, 17 SNPs were significantly associated with SLE, all of which were of similar magnitude (P-values between 0.003–0.007, ORs between 0.79–0.82). Of these SNPs, rs3765598 (P = 0.007, OR = 0.79 95% CI = 0.67–0.94) was predicted to be an eQTL [47], which most likely affects binding and expression of PTPN22 in monocyte cell line [47].
