One important caveat to their results is that although the NESARC interview examined five forms of childhood trauma using questions taken from the CTQ‐SF (Bernstein et al. 2003) and the Conflict Tactics Scale (Straus 1979) the number of items used for each ranged from two for physical abuse to five for physical neglect.
