In the Bipolar>Schizophrenia comparison, parts of the lateral parietal cortex, parietal operculum, and primary and association visual cortex bilaterally, as well as the left posterior fusiform gyrus showed significantly more coherence with the DMN (Table 2; Figure 4a). In the complementary Schizophrenia>Bipolar comparison, the DMN included the left frontal polar cortex, right fusiform gyrus, temporal association cortices bilaterally, as well as parts of the basal ganglia bilaterally (Table 2; Figure 4b).
