While most of these genes can also be stimulated by activation of PPARα, none were stimulated by the present 48 hour administration of Wy-14,643. They are also unaffected by Cyp1b1 status on the LFD. This may be accounted for by differences in the timing of Wy-14,643 administration [65]. Each of these genes exhibits strong circadian suppression in the morning when the mice were sacrificed. This may diminish the constitutive activation by PPARα that is susceptible to Cyp1b1 deletion and Wy-14,643 activation.
