EEG spectral coherence analysis provides a non-invasive approach for studying cortico-cortical associations[38] suggested to be fundamentally disturbed in schizophrenia.[39] Compared to other frequency bands, coherence in the alpha band is more sensitive in differentiating groups of patients with various psychiatric disorders.[40]
