mortality follow-up data (Supplementary Table 25) – we show that the GRS is associated with increased risk of stroke, coronary heart disease and all cardiovascular outcomes; comparing the upper and lower fifths of the GRS distribution, sex-adjusted odds ratios are 1.34 (95% CI 1.20 to 1.49, P =1.5×10-7), 1.38 (95% CI 1.30 to 1.47, P= 4.3×10-23) and 1.35 (95% CI 1.27 to 1.42, P=1.3×10-25) respectively (Fig. 3; Supplementary Table 26). Results are also provided for incident-only cases (Supplementary Table 27).
