PTK fyn knockout mice have a lower sensitivity to alcohol (Miyakawa et al., 1997). Effects of PTK fyn are likely to occur through NMDA receptors NR2A and NR2B that partially mediate glutaminergic effects of alcohol (Fink and Gothert, 1996).
